Subsequently known as the BATMOBILES, Panoz racing cars are an engineering enigma. Although no other top-level endurance racing car used a front-engine layout, Panoz embraced the design. Visually, the car was striking. The long nose and low stance gave the Panoz vicious, aggressive impact. The bellowing of the pushrod V8 added to the joy.
